Step 1: Vehicle Detection

• A car enters the ramp and drives over the Vehicle Detection Loop (bottom of ramp).
• The loop sends a signal to the PLC Controller via 25mm conduit.

 

Step 2: Logic Processing

• The PLC Controller (the "brain") receives the signal and decides to let the vehicle proceed.
• It sends a command to the Signal Output Controller at the top of the ramp.

 

Step 3: Signal Control

• The Signal Output Controller at the top of the ramp triggers the traffic light to turn green.
• This allows the vehicle to merge safely onto the main road.

 

Step 4: Reset for Next Vehicle

• Once the vehicle clears the top Vehicle Detection Loop, the PLC updates its logic.
• The traffic light switches back to red to wait for the next vehicle
